| QPWS 'It's Better Outdoors' Photo Competition |

Are you Queensland's next leading outdoor photographer?
Enter your best outdoor photographs and find out.
The QPWS 'It's Better Outdoors' Photo Competition is being sponsored by the Queensland Parks and Wildlife Service, is free to enter and open for images taken in Queensland only.
We are looking for photos that capture the beauty of nature and show different outdoor activities taking place in our national parks and protected areas.
Great category prizes are on offer from QPWS and the overall best photo winner will take home a new Nikon DSLR camera courtesy of Nikon Australia.
All category winners will have their work profiled on the Queensland Outdoor Recreation Federation website and through marketing material. The competition winners will be announced and all finalist images showcased in an AV presentation at the Queensland Outdoor Recreation Awards Dinner on Friday October 29th, 2010 at the Victoria Park Function Venue

Open and Student
Intended to focus on the diversity of recreation activities undertaken in Queensland’s protected areas & forests, preference will be given for images taken in Queensland national parks (or other protected areas) and state forests however other entries taken in natural bushland settings similar to those found in parks will be accepted.
The park name and/or location must be identified and included with entries for verification.
Under the Stars
Select your best images of people experiencing the joys of camping in the great outdoors.
On the Edge
Capture the essence of adventure in parks. Send us your pictures of rock climbing, remote walking and other adventurous activities.
Wet and sometimes Wild
Our marine parks, estuaries and rivers offer unique opportunities for getting wet in the wild. Send us your best images of canoeing, kayaking, rafting, diving and other water-based activities.
Natural Wonders
A perfect sunrise, a spectacular mountain range, a delicate flower. Share those images that capture the beauty of our national parks and forests.
Hitting the Trails
Unexpected and memorable moments often occur while exploring our tracks and trails. Send us your best shots of walking, running, mountain and trail bike riding, or four wheel driving adventures.
Nature’s Classroom
You don’t need to have four walls and a roof to be learning. Share those images of kids learning in “nature’s classroom”.
