| New Draft Common Service Agreement from Department of Communities |
November 2009 The Department of Communities has introduced a Draft Common Service Agreement. This has implications for those in outdoor recreation who seek to engage in some sort of relationship with the Department, and most particularly for those who enter into funding arrangements with the Department, through Sport and Recreation Services.
While there may be some benefits in terms of a reduction in some paperwork through effective development of a Common Service Agreement, current clauses in this document give the Department the right to terminate funding “even though you are not in default … at any time by giving you three months written notice” (Clause 15.2).
You will find a copy of the Draft Common Service Agreement consultation paper and a feedback survey at http://www.www.communities.qld.gov.au
If you have any comments on this document please respond to the survey and forward your comments also to QORF to assist us in discussions with the Department on this matter.
Feedback can be done through the online website until December 18. Feedback to QORF by December 8 please
